Police arrested a boy accused of shooting his neighbor after SWAT teams spent five hours surrounding a Denver home Monday night.
Matthew Murray, spokesman for the Denver Police Department, said the boy and a 21-year-old man were arguing outside a home at 3217 W. 28th St. about 3:30 p.m. The juvenile went into the house, got a gun, came out and shot the neighbor, who was taken to Denver Health Medical Center in critical condition.
SWAT teams surrounded the home, and officers fanned out looking for the juvenile suspect.
He was found in alley near the home and arrested about 9 p.m.
