REGIS UNIVERSITY: Business owner Karl J. Dakin has been named executive director of the John J. Sullivan Endowed Chair for Free Enterprise. Established in 1977, the Sullivan program promotes corporate and organizational social responsibility.

UNIVERSITY OF DENVER has named Deborah Avant the inaugural holder of the Sie Cheou-Kang Center for International Security and Diplomacy Endowed Chair at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Avant most recently was a professor in the department of political science at the University of California-Irvine.
