COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say the search for a missing 51-year-old Colorado Springs woman has turned into a homicide investigation.
Colorado Springs police on Friday declined to say why they’re treating Deborah Heriford’s case a homicide.
The development was first reported by KKTV in Colorado Springs.
Heriford had separated from her husband in July 2010. Police say they’ve impounded a car belonging to his fiancée and that it’s now part of the investigation.
Police say they haven’t identified any suspects.
Deborah Heriford has been missing since March 31. Authorities say she might be the victim of foul play because it’s unusual for her to be out of touch with her family for so long.
