SAN ANTONIO — Authorities in south-central Texas said a veteran sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed while waiting at a traffic light in his patrol vehicle.
Bexar County Sgt. Kenneth Vann was waiting at an intersection early Saturday when someone in another vehicle pulled up next to his marked cruiser and opened fire.
Investigators don’t have a motive for the attack. No arrests have been reported.
