AURORA — A 28-year-old Denver man was killed Sunday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a dirt embankment on North Picadilly Road in Aurora, police said.
Lars Mickelson died of his injuries at 2:30 p.m. at a local hospital.
Aurora police said Mickelson was riding his 2003 Yamaha R6 at a high rate of speed on North Picadilly Road north of 32nd Parkway about 10 a.m. when he lost control and swerved off the road and into the embankment.
