Eleven people have been arrested and nine remain at large after local and federal authorities investigated a Morgan County dairy farm.
Twenty arrest warrants were issued for employees of the Wildcat Dairy after federal investigators determined that “89 percent” of the dairy’s workers are “not authorized to work in the United States,” according to the Morgan County district attorney’s office.
A Morgan County grand jury recently issued indictments against the suspected illegal workers after a routine inspection of eligibility forms, known as I-9s, by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Managers of the dairy cooperated with the arrest operations, local authorities said.
