Dispatch formed at Middlebury College in Vermont during the peak of the jammy- roots-rock fad of the mid-’90s. Acts like Dave Matthews Band, Rusted Root and Blues Traveler dominated college stereos and sound-tracked keggers, then paved the way for the likes of O.A.R. and Dispatch. In the early 2000s, the trio of Chad Stokes, Brad Corrigan and Pete Heimbold found rapid success, which led to a premature breakup, then a reunion in 2004, another in 2007, and now a full-fledged tour that starts tonight with a three-day run at Red Rocks.
