The young Englishman earlier this week took over the No. 1 spot in the world golf rankings. Six years ago at St. Andrews, Jack Nicklaus played his last round in a major alongside Donald, who at the time had a quiet demeanor but efficient game. This weekend, Nicklaus hosts the PGA Tour at his event, and Donald comes in as the top golfer. When Donald moved to Palm Beach County, Nicklaus offered Donald a membership at The Bear’s Club, which has one of the most complete practice facilities around. “There isn’t anybody who spends more time working on his golf game.”
