GREELEY, Colo.—National Kids to Parks Day was last month. But Colorado Sen. Mark Udall is continuing the initiative with stops in northern Colorado to promote getting children outdoors.

The senator planned to meet with city of Greeley staff Thursday about the “Fun in the Sun” summer programs in that town. Then he planned to meet with teens working on a healthy-eating program.

The Democrat also planned to visit parks in Greeley and Evans to promote getting kids outdoors.

Udall is chairman of the Senate’s subcommittee on national parks. He sponsored a resolution naming May 21 National Kids to Parks Day.
