SAN FRANCISCO — The two-week online auction of the infamous hoodie, rambling manifesto and thousands of other belongings of Unabomber Ted Kaczynski will take its last bid today at 7 a.m. MDT.
As of Wednesday evening, bidding sat at $17,525 for the handwritten copy of the 35,000-word treatise Kaczyn ski wrote to explain his rage against technology that drove him to bomb scientists and industry executives. Offers have reached $20,025 for the gray hoodie and sunglasses that Kaczynski was depicted wearing in wanted-poster sketches.
Auction proceeds will be used for victim compensation.
