The Cat Care Society — a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the quality of life for homeless, injured and abused cats and runs a cage-free shelter — concludes its 30th anniversary celebration Sunday with “Tales of the Painted Cats,” an art auction at Green Gables Country Club (6800 W. Jewell Ave.). The auction includes more than a dozen fiberglass cats, each standing about 28 inches tall, that have been painted and embellished by local artists.
