Denver police believe alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle crash and rollover that killed three people last week.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner today identified the victims as Queena Dishman, 30, Zachary Runnels, 36, of Denver, and Violette Taylor, 45, of Denver.
Police say the driver, who has not been identified, was traveling westbound on 56th Avenue near Havana Street at a high rate of speed around 1:30 a.m. Friday when the vehicle crashed and five people were ejected.
Dishman and Runnels were pronounced dead at the scene. Taylor died a short time later at Denver Health Medical Center.
Two men also were hospitalized in critical condition, and a woman also was injured, police said. Their names have not been released.
The case is still under investigation and no charges have been filed, but police suspect alcohol was involved, said Detective John White, a police spokesman.
