The death of a man who was punched early Saturday in Old Town Fort Collins is being investigated as a homicide.
The Larimer County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy on the body of Nathan Engle on Tuesday and ruled the 24-year-old’s death a homicide. Engle, of Fort Collins, died of a blunt-force head injury, the coroner’s office said.
Engle was pronounced brain-dead Sunday, and his organs were donated Monday, according to the Fort Collins Coloradoan.
Local police arrested 24-year-old Terance Wilson of Fort Collins immediately after the assault early Saturday.
Engle’s uncle, Roger Duke, told KMGH-Channel 7 Tuesday that his nephew was “sucker-punched” by a man as he walked down the street with Duke’s son and that Engle fell down and his head hit the ground.
