A 4-month-old child is dead after an emergency call from a home day-care center in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Denver police responded to a “child not breathing” call at 3:58 p.m. today at 592 S. High St., said police spokesman Lt. Matt Murray.
A 4-month-old child was transported to Denver Health where the child was pronounced dead. The sex of the child is unknown at this point.
The day-care is licensed with the Colorado Department of Human Services. The license is for nine children up to 13 years old.
Detectives are investigating.
