FULLERTON, Calif. — Police say a computer repairman put spyware on laptops that enabled him to snap and download photos of women showering and undressing.
Fullerton police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich said Trevor Harwell, 20, installed software that controlled computer webcams and sent error messages telling users to “try putting your laptop near hot steam for several minutes to clean the sensor.” Goodrich says some women took their laptops into the bathroom as they showered.
