Normally, the Rockies don’t love L.A. They were 19-35 versus the Dodgers from 2008-10 and had lost 13 out of 18 to them at Coors Field. But that was going into this season. Friday’s win was their fourth straight over the Dodgers in LoDo in 2011.

The Rockies caught a break when Matt Kemp, your basic .329-18-53 nightmare, was scratched with hamstring tightness. Kemp came off the bench to homer in the ninth, giving him nine home runs at Coors Field, his personal high for any visiting ballpark.
