LONGMONT, Colo.—Longmont police say an 11-month-old baby who was taken to a hospital because she was lethargic may have ingested medical marijuana.

The Daily Times-Call reports police are weighing whether to pursue charges against the mother for putting the child in a dangerous situation.

Cmdr. Jeff Satur says the baby may have ingested marijuana when her 17-year-old mother was visiting a friend’s home.

The baby was taken to a hospital June 2 but has since been released. Hospital officials told police the baby’s symptoms were consistent with either ingesting cannabis or exposure to large amounts of smoke.
