FORT COLLINS, Colo.—New Belgium Brewing Co. plans to expand its headquarters in Fort Collins.
Spokesman Bryan Simpson says the brewer behind beers such as Fat Tire wants to add offices, meeting rooms and small living quarters for traveling company representatives who come to visit.
The Coloradoan reports New Belgium has 250 employees locally and 380 more around the country, up from 114 in 2000.
New Belgium has submitted conceptual plans with the city to develop 5 acres of its land with two separate buildings. Simpson says it plans to break ground on the project next year.
Simpson says the company also hopes to choose a location this year for a new brewery on the East Coast. He says the company has narrowed its choices to six locations.
