DaVita said Tuesday that faster-than-expected growth at its new Denver headquarters is causing it to lease additional office space. The company has leased 20,000 square feet of space at 16 Market Square to supplement the interim office space at 1551 Wewatta St.
The company plans to move into a new headquarters building in Lower Downtown when construction is complete around the fall of 2012.
DaVita chairman and chief executive Kent Thiry said the growth was for two reasons: additional hiring and Denver’s appeal.
DaVita said it has created more than 300 jobs since moving to Denver.
