Two airline employees who came to the aid of a woman being assaulted at Denver International Airport were honored Tuesday for their actions.
Mark Adams and Kris Musil of Frontier Airlines each received a Bill Daniels Neighborhood Hero Award for halting the attack. The men were on a ramp at the airport when they witnessed what they believed was an assault, ran to the gate and assisted the 22-year-old woman, police said.
Noel Bertrand, a 26-year-old former Marine from Portland, Ore., is charged with sexual assault and kidnapping in the case.
The family of the woman has said at least three people the woman believed to be airport workers walked by during the ordeal and did nothing.
