A manager at a Denver hotel says he was unaware that 11 registered sex offenders list the hotel as their home.
According to KUSA-TV, residents have been convicted of rape, child pornography, sex assault on a child and other charges.
The Newhouse hotel is located across from the state Capitol.
A front desk manager who refused to be identified claimed he didn’t know any sex offenders were registered at the hotel.
The hotel accepts voucher from the Department of Corrections for newly released prisoners.
A program manager for the Division of Criminal Justice Sex Offender Management Board says the state may be subsidizing temporary housing.
Chris Lobanov-Rostovsky says sex offenders may benefit from living near each other, because they hold each other accountable and report others for bad behavior.
