A lawyer says Garfield County’s liaison with the oil and gas industry, Judy Jordan, has received a dismissal notice from the county.
Jordan’s attorney, Tim Whitsitt, told the Glenwood Springs Post Independent that Jordan received the “notice of involuntary termination” Wednesday and is reviewing whether she wants to file an administrative appeal.
In a letter from several companies in 2010, industry officials accused Jordan of “a perceived partiality” that conflicted with industry interests. Jordan said then that she had occasionally made recommendations to county commissioners or made public comments that conflicted with industry interests, but she said that didn’t make her “anti-industry.”
