Judy Jordan, Garfield County’s liaison with the oil and gas industry, was fired Wednesday.
Jordan, 48, can appeal the dismissal. She’s worked for the county since 2007 and has occasionally drawn criticism from officials in the oil and gas industry working in the Piceance Basin gas fields.
Jordan has been criticized directly by oil and gas officials, such as in January 2010 when several companies that accused her in a letter of “a perceived partiality” that conflicted with industry interests.
