Police in Lone Tree are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash near Park Meadows mall.
The crash happened at about 11:30 p.m. near the intersection at Acres Green Drive and County Line Road, according to a Lone Tree media release.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified today as Dominick Armando Garza, 43, of Littleton.
Garza, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. He died of blunt force trauma to the torso, according to Douglas County Coroner Lora Thomas.
The coroner’s office, which performed an autopsy today, ruled his manner of death as an accident.
The motorcycle was westbound on County Line Road when the driver turned in front of a Jeep Cherokee, according to Lone Tree police.
Both vehicles burst into flames after the crash.
The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
An investigation in to the fatal crash is ongoing.
