• ANCHORAGE, Alaska — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.2 shook the state’s remote Aleutian Islands in the Pacific Ocean.
The Alaska Earthquake Information Center said the Thursday evening quake was felt through the central Aleutians and as far east as Dutch Harbor and Unalaska. There were no immediate reports of damage.
