A man was arrested in Colorado Springs last night as he attempted to bolt from a marijuana dispensary with a knife in one hand a pot plant in the other.
The incident happened at about 11:50 p.m. at 500 E. Cimarron St., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.
Police responded to the dispensary when a burglary alarm was set off and when officers arrived they found the front door broken.
As officers approached the business a man with “a knife in one hand and a marijuana plant in the other” was on his way out.
Police identified the suspect as Thomas O’Donnell. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken to the El Paso County Jail.
