Police on Tuesday arrested a 40-year-old Longmont man on suspicion of burglarizing car dealerships in Longmont and Loveland to steal vehicles.
According to his arrest warrant affidavit, Jason Lee Lagasse is suspected of stealing a Nissan 350Z in January 2009 from Booth Motors in Longmont and worked with an accomplice in February 2009 to steal four additional vehicles from a Loveland car lot.
The man who worked with Lagasse, according to police, helped officers investigate the stolen vehicles. The man said Lagasse was his drug dealer and that Lagasse wrapped him into the scheme. Police believe the thieves broke into the dealerships to steal the keys and then take the vehicles.
