A man who died in a rafting mishap on the Cache La Poudre River has been identified.
Frank Diskin, 69, of Parsons, Kan., drowned in a rafting accident Thursday, according to the Larimer County Coroner’s Office.
Diskin was vacationing in Colorado with his family.
Complications of heart disease also contributed to his death, the coroner’s office ruled after an autopsy this morning.
Diskin was among four people in a raft, operated by Rocky Mountain Adventures in Fort Collins, who were thrown into the swollen river.
One person broke a leg in the accident and two, who were not injured, had to be rescued from an island near the Mishawaka Inn, about 25 miles west of Fort Collins.
