VAIL, Colo.—More than 9,000 people are expected to race through nine miles of mud, water, snow and electric shocks this weekend in Beaver Creek.
Beaver Creek Resort executive Tim Baker says the race will test participants’ toughness, strength, stamina and mental grit.
Runners will be sprayed by snowmaking hoses and run through a series of overhead strands of string that are charged with pulsing electricity, according to the Vail Daily.
