Gene Colan, 84, a comic-book artist whose career spanned seven decades and who illustrated the adventures of characters like Dracula, Batman, Daredevil and Howard the Duck, died Thursday in the Bronx.
A longtime friend said Colan died from complications of liver disease and cancer.
