GOLDEN — A man died when a large shelf collapsed inside a building in a small industrial park in Golden.
Golden fire department spokeswoman Karlyn Tilley says it took firefighters about 20 minutes to reach the man who was buried by the collapse Friday at Alpine Envelope.
Tilley says the man’s daughter had spoken with her father minutes before arriving at the scene and discovering the collapse.
Tilley says the woman was delivering lunch to her father. Names have not been released.
The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.
