State Rep. Jim Riesberg, D-Greeley, has been named Colorado’s new insurance commissioner by Gov. John Hickenlooper.
Riesberg, who has lived in Greeley for 30 years, has worked for 24 years at various insurance companies, including Allstate Insurance and Hearth Company Real Estate and Insurance. He will resign his House seat Thursday and start work Friday.
