A person was seriously injured this afternoon after being clipped by the rear wheels of an RTD bus at East Colfax Avenue and Monaco Parkway.
The Route 15L East Colfax Limited bus was apparently was pulling away from the curb at about 4:45 p.m. when the pedestrian was struck, said Scott Reed, spokeswoman for the Regional Transportation District.
“The bus operator continued on the route unaware anything had been struck,” Reed said.
Denver police notified RTD, and RTD dispatch told the driver to return, Reed said.
He did not have any information about the pedestrian, who was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center.
