A woman in Colorado Springs was critically injured in a freak driveway accident at her home.
The accident happened at about 3:40 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Vega Drive, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department blotter.
Police said two boys were helping the woman clean her driveway and as part of the job they attempted to move a vehicle.
“At some point one of the youths released the emergency brake while the unoccupied vehicle was in neutral,” police said, causing “the vehicle to roll backwards down the driveway striking the woman with the open driver’s side door.”
The woman, who was not named, was taken to Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
