Police are investigating after a young woman reported being dragged off the Cherry Creek path and sexually assaulted early Monday.
At 1:50 a.m., police received a report of a woman who was walking on the path near the 4300 block of Cherry Creek Drive South, said Victor Ross, chief of the Glendale Police Department.
The woman told police a man grabbed her, dragged her off the bike path and sexually assaulted her in the bushes. The woman did not know the man, and police say they do not have a suspect description at this time. Ross said this is the first report of a sexual assault on the bike path in his 25 years with the Glendale police.
