BOULDER, Colo.—The University of Colorado’s vice chancellor for administration is leaving to take a job at Western Disposal Inc.

The Daily Camera reports that Frank Bruno plans to leave his job at CU Aug. 1. He became vice chancellor for administration in June 2008. Before that, he was Boulder’s city manager for five years.

Bruno is credited with coordinating the university’s Ten Year Capital Facilities Master Plan; overseeing $500 million in capital construction projects.

His new job will be as vice president of administration for the 40-year-old waste management company.

The university hasn’t named a replacement for Bruno.
