TAIPEI, Taiwan — A Taiwanese prosecutor says former President Lee Teng-Hui has been indicted on a charge of embezzlement. Prosecutor Chen Hong-Ta says Lee and his top aide, Liu Tai-Ying, were indicted today on charges of embezzling $7.79 million from a secret diplomatic fund. Lee served as president between 1988 and 2000.
