FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Five rafters have been rescued after their raft overturned on the Pouder River.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office says one person was able to stay with the raft and guide it to shore Thursday while five others were dumped into the water.

Four of those five rafters were able to make it to the near shore while the fifth managed to get to the far shore and walk to a nearby bridge.

The sheriff’s office says river levels remain unseasonably high and fast flowing. A partial-use restriction is still in effect on the Poudre River which prohibits small rafts, inner tubes and air mattresses from using the river. The restriction does not apply to kayaks, canoes or multi-chambered rafts.
