The Single-A Dayton (Ohio) Dragons will set a modern-day record with an old-school business model. The farm club of the Cincinnati Reds has packed its 7,230-seat stadium since the ballpark opened in 2000. When the Dragons return from a road trip Saturday, they will set a record with their 815th consecutive sellout. That will break a record set by the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers from 1977-95. The Dragons keep fans happy by offering everything from performances to picnics. “It’s just fun,” said Cleveland Indians outfielder Austin Kearns, a former Reds player who was on the inaugural Dayton team in 2000. “There’s always stuff going on. That place is awesome.”
