With the advent of summer, high country waters are seeing increased activity, particularly for fly-fishers. Antero and the Dream Stream are reporting outstanding trout action. Callibaetis patterns remain popular, but don’t ignore attractor patterns such as woolly buggers. North Park waters are fishing well for shore fishers using a variety of baits. Cameron Pass waters Barnes Meadows, Chambers, Long Draw, and Joe Wright are worth the drive, especially Joe Wright for Arctic grayling with small, bright fly patterns. Warmwater fishing in metro waters remains good, with the best action during the lowlight hours of morning and evening.
