Former Larimer County Republican Party chairman Larry Carillo, who is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars in party funds, turned himself in to Glendale police about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Glendale police said Carillo was processed and released after posting $10,000 bond Thursday night.
No future court dates have been set.
A felony-theft warrant for Carillo’s arrest was issued Tuesday. He is accused of stealing $17,696 from the Republican Party and using the money to pay telephone and cable-television bills and to cover gambling debts.
