Boulder police arrested Abraham Ruiz-Delira, 25, on suspicion of attempted unlawful sexual contact after a woman told police he was looking in the windows of her house while she was not fully dressed.

According to a police report, the woman called police around 6:40 a.m. Sunday to report that she saw a man looking in her window as she was coming up the stairs from her basement bedroom in her house in the 800 block of 17th Street. The man was standing on an exterior landing, looking in the window.

She told police she confronted him, and he said he was looking for a way to cut through to the next street. He then left.

Officers stopped a man who matched her description of the suspect a short time later, and the woman told police she was confident it was the same person, the report said.

According to the police report, Ruiz-Delira said he looks in trash cans for old clothes, shoes and electronics. When asked why he was on the porch of the woman’s house, he admitted to an officer that he was looking in the window at women in their underwear and that he knew it was wrong, the report said. He told police the women were “muy sexy.”
