Chatfield State Park’s swim beach reopened Tuesday, after high levels of E. coli in the water forced the beach to close last week.
A routine water test revealed the high bacteria levels Thursday.
The spike in the bacteria levels was probably caused by recent heavy rains and high temperatures, according to Colorado State Parks.
