The Department of Justice has requested more details from Broomfield-based Level 3 Communications regarding the company’s intent to purchase Global Crossing, though the network-services company says it expects no delay in the deal.
Global Crossing also said it received a request for information. In April, Level 3 said it would purchase Global Crossing for roughly $1.9 billion in stock, a combination that the companies hope will strengthen their ability to charge more for delivering Internet services over long distances.
