BRIGHTON, Colo.—An Adams County sheriff’s deputy has been arrested after he was accused of punching a restrained teenager, breaking his jaw.
David Morrow turned himself in to Glendale police on Tuesday and was released on bond.
Morrow is facing criminal charges of child abuse, second-degree assault, tampering with a witness and official oppression after he was accused of striking a 15-year-old boy on June 12 at a party, according to KUSA-TV.
According to an affidavit, Morrow said it has never happened before and it’s never going to happen again. Morrow says he just lost his temper.
Morrow has been suspended without pay.
