The Colorado Economic Development Commission on Thursday approved giving PrimeStar Solar $168,000 in incentives to help pay for the manufacturing facility it built in Arvada two years ago.
The incentives were given to the company, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric, for creating 84 jobs at the facility.
PrimeStar Solar is a manufacturer of high-performance thin film photovoltaic modules.
GE has said Colorado is one of at least 10 states being considered for a new plant, which would employ 400 workers. It is expected to make a decision about that facility within the next few weeks, a PrimeStar official said.
