Getting your player ready...
While the overall Denver real estate market may be foundering, the Lower Highland district of Denver’s Highland neighborhood has become white hot, with numerous new commercial buildings, restaurants, condos and rental apartments under construction, opening or on the drawing board.
From 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug., 11, Urban Land Institute Colorado will explore the secrets of LoHi’s success during LoHi Mojo: What Makes LoHi so hot? tour.
This presentation, walking tour, reception and raffle features some of the architects, planners, developers and builders leading the revitalization of the area, bordered by West 38th Avenue, Interstate 25, Zuni Street Street and Speer Boulevard. LoHi is connected to downtown on a pedestrian and bike bridge that spans I-25 and links to 16th Street.
The tour is organized by the Discovery Series committee of ULI’s Young Leaders Group. The program begins at Little Man Ice Cream, 2620 16th Street, tours three sites, and ends with a reception at Linger, the new rooftop restaurant in the former Olinger’s Mortuary landmark.
Featured speakers to date:
Paul Tamburello, Red Chair Realty
Bruce Heitler, Heitler Development
Chad Holtzinger, OZ Architecture
Amanda CasaDeCalvo, Central Street Capital, Inc
