Lakewood police are searching for three Latino men in their 20s who they believe shot and killed a man in an apartment building in the 1800 block of Kendall Street about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the men were last seen in a champagne- or gold-colored sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevy Suburban, with the letter D and numbers 2 and 7 somewhere in the license plate.
Police spokeswoman Andrea Joo told 9News four men were inside a third-floor apartment when the shooting occurred.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound in the apartment and transported him to St. Anthony Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
