Kapri Bibbs, one of Colorado State’s most-talked about recruits this season, will enroll at Snow College in Utah, he told The Denver Post late Monday night.
Bibbs, an all-state running back from Illinois, became academically ineligible after his ACT score missed requirements. Bibbs said the ACT board negated his score after he improved too much.
The 5-foot-10, 198-pound back from Plainfield North High School was recruited nationally before choosing CSU. He said he hopes to earn enough credits to graduate from Snow after a year and immediately enroll at CSU. Nick Groke, The Denver Post

Northern Colorado is tabbed to finish eighth in the Big Sky Conference in the football coaches and media preseason polls.
New coach Earnest Collins Jr. has 14 returning starters (six offense, five defense, three specialists) from last season’s team that went 3-8, 2-6 in conference play. Defending FCS national champion Eastern Washington was a slight favorite over Montana State in both polls.

Christine Jennings of Longmont earned an automatic berth in the 2012 Olympics by finishing 13th in the 10-kilometer race at the FINA Open Water World Championships in Shanghai.
