ELLICOTT, Colo.—A flag bearer on a road construction project in rural El Paso County suffered a broken arm when she was hit by a passing vehicle.
The woman was hit Wednesday afternoon near Ellicott. The sheriff’s office says the driver accused of hitting her, 70-year-old Wayne Harrison Holmes, didn’t stop but was arrested a few miles away.
KRDO-TV says charges are pending against him.
